Tower Mill Café Bar sits inside the Heart of Hawick arts centre, a converted mill building right on the bank of the River Teviot, with tables looking straight out over the water. It's a calm spot for cakes, scones and a light lunch, and being part of a wider arts centre there's often something else going on if you want to make a day of it — though the on-site cinema screenings are separately ticketed events, not something you can just wander into with your café order.
