Sue's Cafe is a small service-hatch cafe on the lower promenade at Roker, with a covered outdoor seating area right across from the beachfront and, on the other side, a play park. It's kid-friendly thanks to its beachside outdoor seating, a menu of cheeseburgers, chip butties, cakes and ice cream, and its spot directly opposite a children's play park across the promenade (a quiet pedestrian prom road, not a main road, but still worth keeping an eye on little ones crossing).
