Philipburn Restaurant is the dining room of a country-house hotel just outside Selkirk, set among gardens and wooded hillside with a fairly refined, candlelit feel. It's dog-friendly throughout, and alongside its more special-occasion dishes the kitchen does comforting classics like pork chops with sausages, mash and gravy.
