About this place: The café at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, serving breakfasts, deli boards, wood-fired pizzas and cakes right on the shore of Derwentwater. Why it's kid-friendly: "The Terrace" (open weekends) is a proper lakeside outdoor seating area with views over the water and the Keswick launch boats — a real waterside spot for a family to sit and let kids move around, not just a couple of pavement tables.
