Cafe ReCharge is a community café on Island Street in Galashiels, with a bright, plant-filled interior and a terrace that looks straight out over the river. It runs as a pay-what-you-can surplus-food café, turning good food that would otherwise go to waste into daily changing dishes at whatever price you can afford. Families are well looked after, with a children's menu always on offer and a play corner stocked with games and activities to keep kids busy. Open Wednesday to Saturday, 10am-3pm.
