Bishopwearmouth Garden Centre on Chester Road has its own tea room with seating out in the garden itself when the weather allows. It's kid-friendly thanks to that outdoor garden seating and a cafe menu of home-baked cakes, pies, quiches and jacket potatoes with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, and dogs are welcome throughout.
